Conceived in the South Pacific, Hackney based brand Cheeky Tiki bring us the endless summer with their Tropical Lifestyle Brand www.cheekytiki.com.
Cheeky Tiki was Established in 2001 by founder Jamie Wilson whilst island hopping in the South Pacific.
Always searching out the character in life , Jamie was introduced to the idea of Tiki through some locals carving wooden idols when one woman playfully referred to a carving of the god ‘Tangaroa’ as the ‘cheeky tiki’ because of his state of undress, it was then an idea was born! That night, sitting out a tropical storm , Jamie penned his first sketch of Cheeky Tiki.
Returning to England, Jamie set up an art studio above a Tiki bar in London where his love of Polynesian culture and Tiki style grew. Here he met Anjy, a pop culture enthusiast who grew up on a boat on the great barrier reef and whose wanderlust was gravitating towards the same way of life. Not ones to follow a trend they started to bring Polynesian styled décor and it’s culture to a new audience and as word spread, so did their client base. Soon they were using their skills designing and creating Polynesian styled interiors for both bars and nightclubs like Mahiki and having a true entrepreneurial spirit when asked by one client to produce a Tiki mug, they went out, bought a kiln and learnt how to do it themselves, part of their philosophy which runs through the brand today.
hey have since diversified into a group of 3 businesses, which include interior design, barware and now the re-launch of Cheeky Tiki from their base in the creative hub of Hackney Wick in East London where they have a workshop, pottery and design studio.
Now travelling with their daughter Malu who’s name was inspired by their travels, they are constantly looking for new inspiration so they can share the carefree relaxed spirit of the Polynesian lifestyle through their products. Aware of their social responsibility and to ensure they are culturally sensitive in representing this way of life, they look to curate the more traditional decorative items synonymous with these islands with modern pieces that show how we can have fun with our interiors and create something more experiential, an ethos that Jamie and Anjy live by in everything they do and what has established the principles behind the brand; through Cheeky Tiki they hope to inspire a new generation to Escape. Create. Live Aloha.
Capturing the great moments of adventure sport is at the heart of JHP Archive. We strive to record the stories and moments from the outdoor world and present them as dynamic, cinematic and informative still and moving imagery. As seasoned outdoor enthusiasts ourselves, we are no stranger to the obstacles that working in the elements can present, and we strive on the challenges that they bring.
We have spent the past four years developing our skills, know-how and equipment and have become experts in capturing content from the harshest locations. All be it the side of a cliff, Deep underground or on the Water.
Since a very early age I have known exactly what I wanted to do, I knew that I wanted to be an adventure sport photographer to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Leo Dickinson and Jimmy Chin. Since finishing school I made a decision not to go to university but instead to gain experience, get out in the field and most importantly learn from my mistakes.
I used this experience as a grounding and have spent the past few years building the brand JHP Archive and capturing both still and moving images of a range of athletes from European Champion and GB Olympic team Boxer Peter McGrail to barefoot runner Aleks Kashefi, for a range of clients from Castore Sportswear to RedBull Adventure.
In the spring of 2017 I released a bike touring documentary “MOHON’, which went ontowinanaward at the Sheffield Adventure Film Festival and has since screened all around the world.
Since then I have been busy working on a whole host of projects and project ideas and the next year is promising big things. I have found myself in a position where I am doing the thing I love, capturing visual content, for a living! And that makes my drive to create the best content possible stronger than ever.

My passion for sports started at a young age, leading me to study a degree in Bsc Sports, P.E & Coaching Science. I now work with British Canoeing in events, I play Netball at regional level and I am a keen runner. Having experienced a numerous amount of injuries and rehabilitation periods, so I understand the need for massage for the prevention of/or rehabilitation after injury.
I have supported both an international rower and marathon runners during their training to help to keep them injury free in the run-up to their events.
I train at Crossfit Deviant, my passion is weightlifting and love trying new sports.
Holly Calver – Sports Massage Therapist
My name is Holly, I decided to direct my career towards sport 3 years ago starting with working in a gym and gaining my Fitness Instructor qualification in February 2016. While I loved working in this environment and helping people achieve their fitness goals, after a serious injury limited my participation in sport I became more interested in rehabilitation and recovery.
In April 2017 I completed my level 3 sport massage certificate and my first event was the SUP 100, soon after I started up as a self employed sport masseuse. This coincided with starting a masters in Sport Therapy in September 2017, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed spending this past year expanding my knowledge and sharing this to help others keep active and healthy in the sports they love.
